Dr. Jason Haslam is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon. He has completed advanced orthopaedic surgical training with a fellowship in upper extremity surgery, including shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand. Dr. Haslam also has a Certificate of Added Qualification in Surgery of the Hand. A portion of his training included microsurgery, nerve and vascular surgery. Dr. Haslam enjoys working in all areas of orthopedics, so his practice scope and experience is broad. He is as comfortable and confident in performing surgical cases of complex joint reconstruction of the knees and hips as he is with intricate microsurgery repair of digital vessels and nerves.

Dr. Haslam’s extensive training and experience ensures his patients receive top-notch, comprehensive orthopaedic care. Dr. Haslam’s education includes a mechanical engineering degree from Brigham Young University, in Utah; his Medical Doctorate degree from Loma Linda University, in California; his orthopaedic surgery residency at University of California Irvine; and, his upper extremity fellowship at University of Rochester, in New York.

Dr. Haslam is most proud of his three amazing children and their individual accomplishments. In his spare time, he enjoys snowboarding, kiteboarding, windsurfing, dirt bike riding, wakeboarding, cycling and running—activities which have caused his own orthopaedic injuries, such as fractures of the scapula, clavicle, ribs and a torn ACL.

A lifelong Nashville native, Miranda proudly serves as the practice’s board-certified acute care nurse practitioner. Early on she realized nursing was her true calling and completed the training necessary to begin her career as a RN. Her extensive nursing experience includes ten years in the Intensive Care Unit caring for some of the hospital’s most ill. During this time, she also gained the additional education to complete her Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Alabama at Huntsville. After receiving her advanced nurse practitioner certification, she served as a hospitalist for a local health system.
Eager for the opportunity of working in orthopaedics, Miranda chose Haslam Orthopaedics for the opportunity to study under Dr. Haslam. She looks forward to meeting each patient and providing the compassionate care and personalized attention they deserve.
When not at work, Miranda enjoys spending time with her family and friends, the outdoors, watching Netflix and being active with her 11-year-old pup!
